CRC Health Centre Clinic Policy


To schedule an appointment, please call our front desk at (604) 285-3222. Our working hours are from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday to Friday, Saturday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Our hours are subject to change without notice. When scheduling an appointment with our receptionist, the patient must be present either by phone or in person. Please book your appointments in advance whenever possible. 


Please provide AT LEAST ONE of the following when checking at the front desk: 

  1. Photo ID 
  2. Care Card 
  3. Phone Number  
  4. Date of Birth 

Virtual/ Telephone Consultation  

Patients must be ready to receive the video or phone call at the scheduled time and remain in a quiet and private place free of other distractions. Do not schedule a phone consultation when you are scheduled to work, when you are commuting, or in public.  We recommend that you allot at least 30 minutes for your virtual/ phone appointment.  

Cancellation/Rescheduling of an Appointment 

We understand that unexpected situations may arise. If you need to cancel your appointment, please call us at (604) 285-3222 at least 24 hours in advance. All appointments at CRC Health Centre require 24 hours’ notice of cancellation. Depending on the circumstances, appointments missed without 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a fee to compensate us for the time and resources allotted to you.  

Late Cancellation/ No Show Fees for Consultations and Services 

Patients who are late for the appointment are considered as no show. 

  • Family Physician: $50
  • Specialist Physician: $100 
  • Pap Smear: $100 
  • Liquid Nitrogen (for non-MSP insured conditions, and charged in addition to consultation fee): $100 per lesion
  • ECG & Holter: $50 
  • Stress Test: $100

Early Arrival  

Patients who arrived earlier than the appointment time must follow the original scheduled time. CRC Health Centre will not be able to accommodate an earlier time.  

Focus on the Primary Concern  

For each visit, please try to focus on your primary concern or problem. We do not want patients to rush us. We do not recommend saving up multiple problems for a single visit because you may run out of time. You may be asked to book a separate appointment to spend the appropriate amount of time on your concerns.  

Patient Behaviour Policy  

Rude or aggressive behaviour towards any staff member will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Patients who behave in this manner will be asked to leave the office immediately. If you encounter any problems associated with your visit, please contact our clinic manager in writing.  

Out of Province Canadian Residents 

We provide services for patients from other provinces. We do not have the ability to verify the validity of your provincial insurance plan in a timely manner. We request that a $50 deposit be made for each appointment. Please contact the clinic in 14 business days to request a refund of your deposit, if applicable. If your provincial insurance plan is invalid, we will show you the documentation and you may forfeit your deposit. 

Uninsured Services 

We provide services for patients with or without the BC Medical Services Plan. Not all the medical services are covered by your provincial insurance, especially if they relate to a disability claim, employment, school admission or if they are travel related. A list of the most common uninsured services are listed below. Please check with our front desk in advance. All services are non-refundable, and any outstanding fee(s) must be fully paid before the service is provided.

  • Uninsured Consultation with Family Doctor (without valid Canadian medical insurance): $160 
  • Physician’s Note/ Statement: $35 and up
  • Injection fee (for non-MSP insured vaccines): $25 per injection
  • Employment / School Physical Exam: $180  and up
  • Driver’s Medical Exam: Blue form $140 / Yellow form $215
  • Medical Chart Transfer: $65 and above  
  • Form Fee: $65 and above 
  • COVID 19 Requisition: $40 
  • Printing fee: $1 per page for files over 5 pages
